Sulaymaniyah, 24 October 2009: The Global Fund for Women awarded a grant to Asuda to support Asuda's women protection work. The grant will enable Asuda to provide protection to women facing honor killing threats and domestic violence as well as other forms of abuse.

Asuda provides protection and other services to women arriving at Asuda shelter. The services include counselling, Legal support and social mediation.

Asuda shelter was established in 2000 and provided portection and other servceis to hundreds of women from various areas in Iraq.
