Sulaymaniyah, On 23 October 2008, Colonel Nariman Abdullah Qadir Chief of Gender Based Violence Follow Up Department at the Interior Ministry visited Asuda and received by Ms. Khanum Raheem Lateef, Asuda's Programme Manager.

Colonel Qadir and Ms. Lateef discussed ehnancing cooperation between GBV Department and Asuda on issues and activities related to protection of women facing gender based violence and honor killing threats.

Both sides stressed on need for better coordination and collaboration between the GBV Department and Women's Rights Organizations and protection shelters.
