The USAID/RRT awarded a grant to Asuda to implement an awareness project on Violence against Women.

After approval of the grant, Asuda signed an agreement with DAI to implement the porject entitled "Community Based Intervention for the Prevention of Violence against Women".

The project which has already started constitutes the continuation of Asuda's work on public awareness, media and communication campains that aims at sending messages to the community on the impact and consequences of violence against women.

One aspect of the project addresses the issue of legal support to desitute women who seek Asuda's support to provide legal aid at courts and legal institutions.

The porject target area are Sulaymaniyah and Erbil governorates.
