On 18 August 2008, Ms. Khanim Rahim Latif received at Asuda's Office in Sulaymaniyah a delegation representing the PUK Social Bureau. The delegation headed by Sheikh Omer Abdullah and comprised Mr. Haji Qadir, Ms. Kalthoum Karim, Ms. Kawthar Hassan Nadir, Mr. Hassan Haji Mahmoud and Ms. Shilan Aziz Rafiq.

The delegation discussed with Asuda the role of the Social Bureau and the need for more cooperation amongst all concerned organizations and government institutions.

Representatives of the Social Bureau underlined uploding the rule of law and the need to coordinate activities with Asuda to bring up a proposal to set up an Ombudsman style system to represent social concerns and problems of the public in the government institutions at legislative and executive levels.
