Asuda to start an IRC supported Project

 Sulaymaniyah, 3 August 2009: Asuda and Intnerational Rescue Committee signed an agreement to implement a project to enhance protection of women against GBV in Sulaymaniyah. The project entitled "Enhancing Local Protection of Women and Girls at-Risk of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Kurdistan Region".

The 6-months project activities started as of 1 August include response to needs and portection of victims of GBV.

 
Asuda signs an Agreement with Diakonia

 Duhok, 8 July 2009: Asuda and Diakonia signed an agreement for a project to conduct a survey on FGM practice in Sulaymaniyah governorate. The project funded by Diakonia comprises conducting a field survey in Sulaymaniyah to identify trends and causes of FGM practice in the region and analyse the survey results.

Asuda Completes Phase-I of a UUSC funded Project

 Sulaymaniyah 25 April 2009: Asuda completes a series of seminars on women's political participation and elections awareness within the framework of a porject funded by Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) provided information and guidance for women on poiticial rights, voting and nomination for elections in the context of Iraqi constitution and the international conventions and agreements on women's political rights.

Asuda Launches UNHCR Supported Project

 On 10 August 2008, Asuda launched an awareness project for IDPs and Refugees in Erbil supported by UNHCR. The project targets locations populated by IDPs and Refugees in Hareer, Kawa Camp, Makhmour Camp, Shawais, Binaslawa, Kalak, Girdachal and Kasnazan.
