Sulaymaniyah, 18 December 2008. Following days of activities marking the International Day for the Elimination of gender Based Violence, Asuda successfully concluded activities during 16 days from 25 November to 10 December 2008 marking the event in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
The activities which included publication and dissemination of banners , leaflets broadcasting radio prgroams on Nawa Radio covering issues and topics about 25 November and the 16 Days of Activism against gender based violence.

Sulaymaniyah, On 2 December 2008, a delegation from QANDIL comprising Ms. Anna Wachtmeister, Field Coordinator, Ms. Shilan Aziz Salih, Social Worker and Ms. Fenik Shafeq, Deputy Field Coordinator visited Asuda and met Ms. Khanum Raheem Lateef.
Sulaymaniyah, On 1 December 2008,Ms. Christine Wright Relief International's Regional Coordinator accompanied by Mr. Mohammed A. Kareem, Prgoram Assistant visited Asuda and received by Ms. Khanum Raheem Lateef, Asuda's Programme Manager.
On 23 November 2008, Asuda concluded a 5-day training course for NGOs from Central and Southern Iraq. The training conducted in Sulaymaniyah included lectures and sessions on Human Rights issues including Gender and Violence against Women, Management Skills and several other topics.
