Stockholm: Represening Asuda, Ms. Chia Yaseen attended an international conference Västerås, Sweden.

The conference was organized by Arosdaughters and was attended by women representing organizations from Iraq, Sweden and other countries.

Sulaymaniyah: As of early February, Asuda started an Awareness project on elections and voting for women in the governorates of Diyala, Salahaddin, Mosul and Kirkuk. The porject funded by Bridging the Divide and aims at promoting and enhancing the awareness of women about the importance of participation in elections and voting in the upcoming elections, particularly the March 7th 2010 elections.

Sulaymaniyah: Supported by DAI, Asuda started a voter education project for women and IDPs in Sulaymaniyah aiming at promoting the awareness of target communities about elections and voting. The project in part of a region-wide activity implemented by a number of NGOs in the governorates of Sulaymaniyah, Erbil and Duhok.

Dublin: Ms. Khanum Raheem Lateef, Asuda's Program Manager participated in an international conference for Human Rights Defenders organized by Frontline Deferners Organization in Ireland.
